I usually come to Cafe Palazzo just before I bust out some of my salsa moves at the New Caledonian. Located at the northern end of O’Connell Street, this spacious restaurant offers all your traditional Italian fare. As you expect, the place is palatially decorated with a contemporary feel. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is excellent.
On this particular occasion, I ordered the Palazzo pizza. My dish came out 20 minutes after ordering and all meals came out at the same time. The pizza was well presented but didn’t taste as good as it looked. The ingredients on the topping were fresh but I felt the pizza could have spent a bit longer in the oven. There was certainly a lack of cheese on my pizza and the pizza itself was bland. The crust was OK and was of a consistent thickness throughout. The tomato base was satisfactory.

My pizza was OK. It wasn’t the worst but no where near the best either. Might only come here for coffee in the future.
