Golden Snack Bar is a little store in the Southern suburbs that specialises in Vietnamese meat rolls. Their main specialties are the Roast Pork Vietnamese roll and the Lemon Grass Chicken Vietnamese Roll. Their bread rolls are freshly delivered each morning.

While I’d love to say their Roast Pork Vietnamese rolls are the best in Adelaide, they’re not. Their roast pork is good but it’s just not marinated in the same way as Taydo. The pork can be a bit fatty as well which a bit of a turn off. They also don’t use the traditional egg mayonnaise that you find at most Vietnamese meat roll places.

The Vietnamese roll itself comes with all the trimmings. The vegetables are fresh and crisp, and the pickled carrot is made well. The owners of this family run store are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, and their service is excellent.

Not the best Vietnamese Roast Pork rolls I’ve ever had, but definitely the best in the Southern suburbs.
