Andy’s Yiros Plus has two stores in Adelaide, one in North Brighton and the other in Collinswood. The Brighton store is located in a small shopping complex and offers 15 combinations of yiros fillings. There are also 10 different burgers to choose from, hot dogs, yiros hot packs and some vegetarian options.

The decor is fairly basic and the fit out reminds me of a chicken shop. There are a small number of seats both inside and out, but from what I could see, most of their customers are take away.

For lunch I ordered the Yiros Hot Pack, which consists of lamb yiros meat, chips, salad and garlic sauce. If I’m ordering yiros meat, I like to see the meat freshly carved off the rotisserie. The lamb, in this case, appeared to be re-heated on the grill. The meat wasn’t very well marinated and was rather bland for lamb yiros. Had it been roast lamb, it would have been quite good. The chips were nice and crunchy, and adequately salted. The salad was fresh and crisp, while the garlic sauce had a nice thick consistency.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was fair. The cost of the midi (medium) yiros hot pack was $12.90 which is a decent serving. As mentioned earlier, I thought the lamb yiros meat was more like a roast lamb. I kind of expected more from a place that has yiros in their name.
