Having been to the Chicken Time store in Norwood, I was keen to check out their nearby store in Linden Park. If you do a comparison of the two stores, this one has fewer seats and all the food is served in take away containers regardless of whether you’re dining in. As expected, the menu is exactly the same with burgers, hot packs, yiros, seafood and salads on offer.

For lunch, I ordered the Chicken AB which was ready after a 10 minute wait. The presentation was average as it came in a take away styrofoam container. The chicken was well marinated and there was a decent amount. The ratio of meat to chips was one to one, which is acceptable. Some morsels of chicken were tender and succulent, while other bits were dry, so there was a bit of inconsistency there.
The sauces added were sweet chilli, tomato and garlic sauce. They were running on empty with the garlic sauce at the time of ordering so there were only a few splodges here and there. While I would have preferred hot chilli sauce, the sweet chilli sauce worked quite well with the chicken.
The chips were medium in thickness and were fried to perfection. They were nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the centre. The amount of salt applied was satisfactory.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was average. The cost of the small Chicken AB set me back $12 which was reasonable. While it’s smaller than the larger $15 version, the portion size was satisfying.
