Goodies & Grains have been located in the Central Markets for well over 20 years. In what started off as a store that just stocked bulk products, is now a recognised health food store that has well over 5000 products to their name, with 40% of the range being organically grown.

They also have salads and a range of sweet and savoury treats. Today, I bought their Cajun Quinoa salad for lunch. The salad was delicious!  The pumpkin was soft and delicate with a natural sweetness. The beans, corn and cashew nuts added a nice crunchy texture. The spinach was fresh and the addition of mint added a whole new dimension. The cajun flavour was subtle but the combination of ingredients worked really well.

The staff were friendly and the service was fast and efficient. The salad set me back $5 which is fairly cheap, especially when you’re talking about great taste and premium quality ingredients. There’s a reason why this place has been around for so long. It’s my one stop shop for health foods.
