Sneaky Pickle

As I arrived at my second Fork on the Road, I was overwhelmed by the choice. The first thing that caught my eye was the Sneaky Pickle van. As your first gut instinct is usually correct, I decided to listen to my gut (it was making all sorts of noise at this stage) and ordered their Hot Smoked Pastrami. The meal was two slices of rye and loads of pastrami with cheese and mustard. A pickle and coleslaw were included as sides.

The meal came out after a 10 minute wait and was delicious. The pastrami was out of this world. You could taste the smokiness in the corned beef, and the meat was so tender, it fell apart as you bit into it. Like Adam and Eve, the cheese and pastrami were made for each other. Packed together in two fresh pieces of rye bread, the sandwich was heavenly. The pickle was a nice touch as a side, however, I did find the coleslaw to be a bit bland.

I quite enjoyed my Pastrami sandwich that came from a van. It was very close to something I had in LA. Definitely worth a try if you see the van in the area.
