When I checked the restaurant website and saw that Arya were voted the “Best Indian Restaurant in Australia”, I really had to come here to find out for myself. Located in the North Adelaide Village on O’Connell Street, this place is beautifully decorated. The staff are warm and inviting, and the menu offers all your traditional favourites at reasonable prices.

On this occasion, I ordered the Chilli Cheese Naan and Tandoori Lamb Cutlets. The Chilli Cheese Naan was way too spicy for even my taste buds. I was sweating profusely as I sculled a jug of water. My throat was burning and I could hardly speak. The lamb cutlets were well spiced and perfectly cooked. The meat was juicy and tender, and probably the best dish of this kind I’ve ever had.

The service was exceptional, the restaurant was well presented, the atmosphere was relaxed and the quality of the food was of a high standard. Best Indian restaurant in Australia? It has to be up there!
