I’ve been to Montezuma’s several times over the years and the menu hasn’t changed. The menu offers a range of dishes, and various combinations of those dishes. While the food is not authentic, it is reasonably cheap. The restaurant has a Aztec theme about it with all the Mexican paraphernalia hanging off the walls. The service here is not great.

On this occasion, I ordered the Chilli Verde Burrito. The meals arrived without a long wait and at the same time. The Chilli Con Carne was well made and full of flavour. The beef inside the Verde Burrito was also good. The beef was lean, tender and perfectly cooked. The meal itself was put in a grill or oven for too long because the rice was dry and burnt. The tortilla also was a bit crunchy.

The staff didn’t seem to be around when you needed them. The food was OK. Not my best Mexican experience.
