East End Wine Down 2019

The annual East End Wine Down returns to Vardon Avenue for its, ‘Sweet Sixteenth’ on Saturday March 23rd. It’s an afternoon where Adelaide’s East End transforms into the ultimate pop-up, showcasing a line-up of 150 plus wines, a cider and gin bar, and tucker served up from a range of neighbouring businesses.

East End Cellars is bringing a host from 30 plus wineries, featuring five or more wines each, with over 150 plus wines to taste. With a constant stream of new producers and new products, East End Cellars owner and event director Michael Andrewartha said, “East End Wine Down provides the opportunity for people to keep up to date in the world of wine.”

“We want to give people the opportunity to trial all the newbies and learn more about their longstanding favourites in our beautiful Vardon Avenue.”

Koerner, Leko Wines and Springs Road Wines are all new wineries showcasing at the event. These three all call South Australia home.

East End Cellar’s perfects the balance of serving local, national and international produce.

Michael Andrewartha said, “Our aim is to always support local, however we love to showcase the best of the best in SA and the world”.

“You can meet and greet the winemakers, producers and people who are the backbone of the wineries.”

To shake up the taste buds, East End Cellars have collaborated with Lobo Cider, an Adelaide Hill’s favourite, who will be setting up a cider and gin bar.

Each year East End Cellar’s throw popular and very anticipated pop-ups, that make the East End hum. This year EEC will team up with neighbouring businesses, Mothervine, Nola, Eros and Lemongrass, to provide the best street-style food.

Not to forget, the day’s ambience will be fuelled by beats from Skin Contact.

Michael Andrewartha said: “Come and mingle with your favourite winemakers from noon till 5pm, listen to great tunes and eat delicious food.”
