The Noshery has been around for quite some time now, but only recently has it come under new management and undergone a facelift. The once modern interior now has a European feel to it with classic low hanging light fittings, curtains, mirrors and paintings. The menu has also had an overhaul with soups, salads, brunch and breakfast options (available from 7am to 3pm) and mains.
Tonight, I ordered their Chicken Parmigiana. The dish arrived 30 minutes after ordering and was average in presentation. The size of the schnitzel was smaller than you get elsewhere which was reflected in the $13.50 price tag. The chicken was over cooked, and it’s exterior was soggy like it had been microwaved. The cheese could have been browned a bit more, and the napolitana sauce was sour. The chips could have been crunchier and the amount of dressing on the salad was adequate.
The staff were friendly but the service was unacceptably slow, particularly as I was the only customer. The atmosphere was relaxed and the pricing was acceptable. You certainly get what you pay for at this place.
